Explanation
Information becomes more useful when a person understands what it means and what they can do with it. A measure without an owner or response can create reporting activity without improving the work.
Application
For each dashboard measure, identify the decision, the person responsible and the action available.
Context and limits
Some measures support research, assurance or long-term observation. Explain that purpose when an immediate action is not expected.
